ADC12 Die Casting — From a Die Casting Manufacturer

Alloy · ADC12

ADC12 anchors our casting range — it is the first grade named in the flagship custom die casting part — and this page is the manufacturer's own route to ADC12 parts: cast, machined, finished and inspected in one factory.

The Manufacturer's View of ADC12 Work

Manufacturer · Direct

Buying ADC12 parts from the manufacturer rather than through a trader changes the conversation at the two moments that decide a project: tooling and trouble. At tooling, you speak with the team that designs and cuts the die — the mould division has been part of this factory since 1996 — so questions about parting lines, slides and ejection are answered by the people who will stand behind them. At trouble — a porosity finding, a finish defect — the casting, machining and inspection records all sit in one quality system, certified to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, with certificates available upon request.

ADC12 is the grade this factory leads with. It appears first in the flagship product name and underpins the general-purpose end of the range: housings, structural parts and components that will be machined and coated after casting.

What an ADC12 Quotation Includes

Quote · Scope

A manufacturer-direct quote for ADC12 parts covers the full route, itemised so you can compare like with like: die tooling, casting per-piece price at your quantity, secondary machining, the specified finish, and inspection. Where a drawing leaves a decision open — a finish, a tolerance class on a non-critical face — the quote states the assumption instead of burying it. That transparency is the practical advantage of buying from source: there is no intermediary margin, but more importantly no intermediary interpretation of your drawing either.

Production follows the same route the quote describes: automatic die casting machines for the casting itself, the machining division for post-cast work, and CMM checks before release. The factory's stated policy of no fixed MOQ, with support for small-batch trial production, applies to ADC12 work as to the rest of the range — a pilot batch can prove the die before volume is committed.

Sending an ADC12 Enquiry That Gets a Fast Answer

RFQ · Checklist

Attach the drawing or STEP file, mark the alloy as ADC12 (or note if A380 is acceptable), give target quantities for trial and production, and name the finish. If the part mates with components from our other divisions — a stamped cover, an extruded heatsink, a machined insert — say so: one supplier across the assembly is exactly the structure this factory was built for, and the quote can price the set together.

Engineering Notes — Die Casting Programmes

Process Notes

Programmes in this family share one production skeleton: die design and build in the in-house mould division, casting on automatic machines, then trimming, any CNC work the drawing calls for, finishing, and CMM-checked release. Two habits keep programmes healthy. First, freeze the cosmetic-face and critical-dimension lists at sampling — they drive handling and inspection for the life of the part, and changing them mid-programme re-opens settled questions. Second, treat the die as the asset it is: it is designed, built and maintained by the same team, and its condition is reviewed as production accumulates, which is how year three of a programme stays identical to the approved first article.

Buyers transferring an existing part to this factory should say so at enquiry. A part with existing tooling, a part needing new tooling, and a part being re-specified from a sample are three different projects with three different first steps, and the review will name which one you have before quoting anything.
